When we started this project the weather conditions were not favourable due to the snowy conditions. We initially excavated the site to the correct size and brought in hardcore. We then did the foundation works for the building and serviced the site including installing a septic tank, water main, power and drainage systems. Irvine contractors were responsible for constructing the fire station building. We then kerbed and graded the car park in preparation or the tarmac surface. Finally we laid the tarmac surface and white lining.  

We completed all the ground works for the new Scalloway Fire Station from excavating the site through to tarmacing the final surface.
